   All I know is that it's annoying and it would be nice if it didn't mean that we're all about to get spam comments every time we make a reference to car insurance, credit card, mortgage or any other financial subject.

   Unfortunately, there are certain topics that will receive spam. We've put in a number of obstacles to eliminate the vast majority of it, but if someone comes in and writes comments by hand, ther is little we can do except delete it after it has been made (and ban the spam URL so they have a harder time using it again). It's an unfortunate part of the Internet...will take a look and see if I can find out what is wrong with your forum account.

   At least it wasn't from the porno spammer. ThriftyRay got a bunch of those one week, and it wasn't fun.
